Suiter beta terms

DRAFT for Adam and a lawyer to review. This is not legal advice. Placeholders in square brackets are for Adam. The page at suiter.love/terms (packages/web/app/terms/page.tsx) renders these terms, word for word, when the site is built, so the next deploy publishes them as they stand, this banner included. Clause 6.1 is true once Adam confirms that Juliet sends nothing after a member leaves (data map gap 9); "delete me", in any words, reaches the deletion.

These terms are between you and Suiter-AI Ltd (company number 17247079; registered office 82a, Suite A, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom) ("Suiter", "we"). By tapping I'm in you agree to them. How we handle your data is in our privacy notice.

1. The beta

1.1 Suiter is in an early beta. It is invite only: you can join if we have invited you.

1.2 Things may change, break or stop while we build it. We may change or end the beta at any time, and we will tell you on WhatsApp if we do.

1.3 The beta is free. If that ever changes, we will tell you clearly before you are charged anything, and you will not be charged without agreeing.

2. Who can join

2.1 You must be 18 or over. If we believe you are under 18, we will stop and a person will check.

2.2 You must be single, or otherwise free to date, and the person you tell Juliet you are.

2.3 One membership per person, on your own WhatsApp number.

3. What Suiter does, and does not promise

3.1 Juliet, our AI matchmaker, gets to know you on WhatsApp and writes a profile with you, which you see and approve before anyone else does.

3.2 Matching is not switched on yet. We will message you when it is.

3.3 We do not guarantee matches, a number of introductions, or that anyone you are introduced to will want to meet you.

3.4 Juliet is an AI and can get things wrong. During the beta, the Suiter team reads conversations to check her work.

3.5 We do not run ID checks or background checks (including criminal record checks) on members. We do not verify that anyone is who they say they are. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety when you talk to or meet someone. Meet somewhere public the first time, and tell a friend where you'll be.

4. How you must behave

4.1 Be truthful about yourself, and use photos of yourself only.

4.2 Treat the people you are introduced to, and the Suiter team, with respect.

4.3 Do not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, pressure or deceive anyone;
  • ask anyone for money, or offer to sell them anything;
  • share another member's details or messages without their agreement;
  • push someone to move off Suiter before they want to;
  • send sexual, violent or hateful content, or photos of anyone other than you;
  • use Suiter for anyone else, or for any business.

5. Safety and reporting

5.1 If someone makes you feel unsafe, or breaks these rules, tell Juliet, or email hello@suiter.love. A person at Suiter will look at it.

5.2 If you are in danger, call 999 first.

5.3 We may pause your matches while we look into a report.

6. Ending your membership

6.1 You can leave any time: reply STOP, and tap yes when Juliet asks if you are sure. She then stops introducing you to people and stops messaging you. Say delete me, or email hello@suiter.love, and we delete your data as the privacy notice explains.

6.2 We can remove anyone from Suiter, at any time, with or without a reason, including for breaking these terms. If we do, we may keep what we need to keep others safe.

7. Our responsibility to you

7.1 Suiter is provided as it is, during a free beta. We are not responsible for how other members behave, on Suiter or when you meet them.

7.2 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. [Lawyer: consumer-law wording.]

8. Changes and the law

8.1 We may update these terms. If a change matters, Juliet will tell you before it takes effect.

8.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
